Sensor Fusion Engineer - Vehicle Automation Functions

Do you want to design a system that uses sensor data to make decisions like "brake, accelerate, turn"? We’re looking for a specialist in sensor fusion and decision-making algorithms for a project developing automated functions. We’re not building a robotaxi—these are specific functions: remote control, driving from point A to B while avoiding obstacles, and Follow Me mode. Your work is the brain of the entire system—you take data from lidar, cameras, and radar and transform it into decisions about what the vehicle should do.

What you will be dealing with:

  • Sensor fusion: combining data from lidar, cameras, and radar into a unified view of the vehicle’s surroundings
  • Decision-making algorithms: designing logic that uses fused data and probabilistic methods to determine whether to brake, turn, or accelerate
  • System simulation: modeling the entire system in MATLAB before building a physical prototype
  • Translation into reality: translating simulation results into vehicle implementation and testing

We are looking for someone:

  • Who has actually worked with sensor fusion or decision-making algorithms for vehicles
  • Who considers MATLAB their primary tool
  • Who enjoys thinking in terms of probability and decision-making logic?
  • Who benefits from a gradual transition from pure simulations to real-world testing
  • For those who don't mind working in shifts while traveling, during testing/debugging

What you need:

  • At least 2 years of experience with sensor fusion, algorithm development, or simulation of vehicle control systems / similar applications
  • MATLAB — advanced proficiency, not just basic familiarity. All simulations and modeling are done in MATLAB
  • Advantage: experience with NVIDIA or Qualcomm platforms
  • Advantage: experience with simulation environments such as dSPACE or Hexagon
  • Advantage: overlap with the ADAS / assisted driving field
  • Czech at a native speaker's level

Why choose us:

  • A real car, not just a paper project—you’ll see your algorithms drive a real car
  • The entire process, from simulation to physical testing
  • A long-term project with a clear timeline
  • Technically challenging work on a specific feature, not a generic software product

Our benefits

A little taste of what
awaits you - a typical task

We are currently building a storage system from second-life batteries for a client. We are delivering it turnkey, including the software.

1. Get in touch with the developers, get to know the mechanical part and find out what we need to control, what parameters to monitor or what to display on the UI screen

2. Design the application from A to Z, including security notifications, error conditions...

3. Program the application and be with the project from start to handover. You will participate in testing and client meetings. The application will literally be "your baby".
