Project Manager - VW projects

Become the bridge between the car company and our team of experts. We are looking for an experienced professional to lead our projects within the Volkswagen Group and use their contacts, technical knowledge and business skills to develop our cooperation. If you have at least two years of experience in electrical and electronic systems development within the VW Group and understand how automotive systems work across platforms, you are exactly who we are looking for.

What will you be doing here?

1. Acquisition of new projects and communication with the customer

  • You will be the main point of contact for our customers within the VW Group
  • You will establish and develop relationships with key people on the customer side
  • You will actively identify new business opportunities and convince customers of the benefits of working with DEVINN
  • You will represent the customer's interests in our company and ensure that our solutions meet their needs

2. Project planning and management

  • You will create realistic project timelines and ensure they are met
  • You will evaluate the complexity of projects in terms of the required finances, time and specialisations
  • You will assemble and lead a project team consisting of our experts
  • You will actively lead the project to successful completion and motivate the team to achieve goals

3. Technical understanding and supervision

  • You will use your knowledge of vehicle bus system architecture (CAN, LIN, ETH)
  • You will be able to assess whether the proposed solutions are technically feasible
  • You will help to connect our company with the relevant departments in the VW Group
  • You will share your know-how with colleagues and provide them with expert guidance

What do we expect from you?

Experience in the automotive industry

  • At least 2 years of experience in electrical development (EE, EP) within the Volkswagen Group
  • Experience with a project that involved a Group component or module across all VW platforms
  • You may have experience as a FURE,BTV or as a project manager
  • Knowledge of any of the following areas.
  • Knowledge of the vehicle architecture as a whole, not just isolated subsystems

Project and business skills

  • Ability to establish and adhere to schedules
  • Knowledge of PEP processes
  • Contacts in the VW Group
  • Business acumen and flair for: establishing a relationship with the customer, recognizing a business opportunity, convincing the customer of the benefits of working with us
  • The ability to evaluate the complexity of a project in terms of: finances, time, required experts
  • You know where to turn if you don't know the solution - you communicate proactively and are not afraid to ask questions
  • You are willing to share your know-how and advise others
  • Can you connect our company with VW purchasing or specialist departments
  • You can perceive customer needs and assess the feasibility of a project within the company

Communication skills

  • You actively communicate in German - in person, by phone and by email
  • You can motivate the team and "push" the project to successful completion
  • You can put yourself in the customer's shoes and represent their interests in the company
  • You can get key information from technical experts
  • You are confident but humble - you inspire confidence and respect

Way of thinking

  • You can look at complex solutions globally
  • Technical education is not a requirement - we value your practical experience

1. Get in touch with the developers, get to know the mechanical part and find out what we need to control, what parameters to monitor or what to display on the UI screen

2. Design the application from A to Z, including security notifications,error conditions...

3. Program the application and be with the project from start to handover.You will participate in testing and client meetings. The application will literally be "your baby".
